Enrique Meza was born in Fresno and grew up in Orange Cove with his two little sisters, where his Uncle started calling him “Lil’ Joe” after his dad Jose, sparking Enrique’s interest in Snoopy’s alter ego, Joe Cool, and setting off a love for Snoopy he’s well known for. He took the Computer Science degree he earned going to school in San Diego and moved to San Francisco for his career start. His first daughter, Claudia, was born there and lived as the only child and apple of her dad’s eye for nine years, and then Haunna came, with Noemi soon after, cementing him as a real girl-dad. He made a bold career change, pursuing his passion for photography and videography and starting a film production company in downtown Fresno. Enrique met Kelly in the office lobby, but he doesn’t remember that. After catching his eye and making a few sly inquiries to her friends he built up the courage to ask her out. They spent their first date talking for hours while the restaurant closed around them. He took his time, was careful and cautious, but their adventures together filled his cup, and even in the mundane they built mutual respect and admiration, and with the girls it felt like family. He loves Kelly for the way she listens and hears people. She encourages often, laughs easily, and feels deep. She’s serious about their joy and happiness and provides an environment where family thrives. He loves the way Kelly challenges him, he thinks she makes him a better man and a better girl-dad.
